Bursae podotrochleares manus

Definition

In horses, the podotrochlear bursa (navicular bursa) is interposed between the deep digital flexor tendon and the distal sesamoid bone. 

This bursa extends beyond the borders of the sesamoid bone, forming a distal and a proximal recess.
