The septal process (Processus septalis) of the nasal bone is located on the internal surface of its medial border, which is rough and usually thicker than the lateral border. It unites to the one of the opposite side and gives attachment to the nasal septum. In certain species, it participates to separate the frontal sinuses caudally.
