Definition

Premolar teeth are the four first cheek teeth in the full eutherian* dentition. They are rostral to the molars. All except the first are preceded by deciduous teeth.

*Eutheria is a subclass of Mammals-except Monotremes and Marsupials-, having a placenta through which the foetus is nourished.
