在胸骨附近，肋间神经前支越过胸廓内动脉和胸横肌前方，穿过肋间内肌、肋间前膜及胸大肌，分布于胸前部及乳房表面的共同体被（乳房内侧支），形成胸部前胸皮支；第二神经的分支与颈丛的锁骨上神经前支相吻合。
