Definition
The fasciae of muscles are connective tissue layers that surround, support, and separate skeletal muscles and muscle groups. They maintain muscle shape, allow movement between adjacent muscles, and provide pathways for nerves and vessels. These fasciae form part of the body’s continuous fascial network extending from superficial to deep layers.
