The short head of biceps brachii is one of the two heads of the biceps brachii muscle, located in the anterior compartment of the arm. It originates from the tip of the coracoid process of the scapula, sharing this origin with the coracobrachialis muscle.

The short head lies medial to the long head throughout its course and has a broader, more robust muscle belly, contributing effectively to the elbow flexion. Distally, it joins with the long head to form a common tendon, which inserts primarily onto the radial tuberosity.

he short head of biceps brachii is innervated by the musculocutaneous nerve and supplied by branches of the brachial artery.
