Definition

Andréa Lopes da Costa

The interalveolar border of the mandible is free of alveoli and goes from the canine tooth to the first premolar.

It corresponds to the first part, the rostral one, of the dorsal border of the mandible, the second being the alveolar border.

In herbivores, it is very large.

In pigs and carnivores, it is very short.
