Linea musculus poplitei

Definition

In horses, there are numeral grooves on the caudal surface of the body of tibia, for attachment of popliteal muscle. The mediodistal border of this area is called the line of popliteus muscle and marks the limit between the popliteus and the flexor digitorum/digitalis.
