Definition

The medial wall of the orbit (Pars medialis) shows:

a)Near the supra-orbital border, the fossa for lacrymal sac (Fossa sacci lacrimalis) and the lacrymal foramen (Foramen lacrimale)that gives access to the lacrymal duct.;

b)More medially, the fossa of the ventral oblique muscle of the eye (Fossa m. obliqui ventralis);

c)More medially and deeper, the ethmoidal foramen, double in certain species (dog).
