Margo orbitalis

Definition

The orbital margin (Margo orbitalis) is nearly circular. It is limited by a prominent edge:

-the supraorbital margin (Margo supraorbitalis) is the dorsal part of the prominent edge of the orbital opening (Aditus orbitalis). It is formed by the lacrymal and frontal bones.

-the infraorbital margin (Margo infraorbitalis) is the ventral part of the prominent edge of the nearly circular orbital opening (Aditus orbitae).It belongs to the zygomatic bone.
