Septa of frontal sinuses

Septa sinuum frontalium

Definition

All the frontal sinuses are separated from their homologues on the opposite side by the septa of the frontal sinus or median interfrontal septum or mediofrontal septum impreforate, irregular and located nearly on the median plane.

In Ruminants, some small communications can exist between the two sides at the level of the nuchal compartment though.
