Interparietal bone
Os interparietale
Definition
The interparietal bone is an odd, median bone located between the parietal and occipital bones. It completes the occipital bone scale and is considered the interparietal process of this same bone in certain species.
This set of bones fuses in adults, with the exception of felines, in which the sutures remain visible in adult animals.
