Definition

Juliette Garnodier

The cellulare septum is a structure of the septal part of the rhinencephalon, located medially in each cerebral hemisphere, forming, together with the septum pellucidum and the paraterminal gyrus, the medial wall of the lateral ventricle. It participates in limbic system circuits involved in reward, emotions, and affective behaviors.
