Subsinosal interventricular sulcus

Sulcus interventricularis subsinuosus

Definition

Antoine Micheau

The subsinosal interventricular sulcus is the external longitudinal groove on the cadual surface of the heart that delineates the separation between the right and left ventricles.

It runs from the coronary (atrioventricular) groove toward the apex of the heart and contains the subsinosal interventricular branch, most commonly arising from the right coronary artery, together with the middle cardiac vein.

The corresponds to the inferior (posterior) interventricular sulcus in human anatomy.
