IMAIOS

The inferior interventricular sulcus (posterior interventricular sulcus) is a prominent external groove on the inferior surface of the heart. It marks the anatomical boundary between the right and left ventricles on the inferior aspect and corresponds internally to the lower part of the interventricular septum. The sulcus extends from the notch of cardiac apex toward the base of the heart, specifically toward the crux, where the atrioventricular and interventricular grooves meet.

The inferior interventricular sulcus contains the inferior interventricular branch of the right coronary artery (posterior descending artery) and the middle cardiac vein.
