Tuberosity for teres major

Tuberositas teres major

Definition

Antoine Micheau, Marjorie Champarou

The tuberosity of the teres major muscle is located on the medial surface of the humerus in ruminants and horses.

This tuberosity corresponds to the insertion surface of the teres major and latissimus dorsi muscles. It lies in the same transverse plane as the deltoid tuberosity, located laterally.
