Alveolar arch

Arcus alveolaris

Definition

Andréa Lopes da Costa

The alveolar arch of the incisive part of the mandible is the rostral bony curve formed by the arrangement of the dental alveoli of the mandibular incisors.

It is followed caudally by the interalveolar border, which is particularly pronounced in herbivores.
