Sulcus sinus sagittalis dorsalis

Definition

The dorsal sagittal sinus (Sulcus sinus sagittalis dorsalis) formed on the internal surface of the cranium, and located on the sagittal plane, below the interparietal bone (if any), the interparietal and interfrontal sutures in most domestic animal species, corresponds to the veinous sinus formerly called 'superior longitudinal sinus'.
