Medial mental foramina

In many species (Pigs, Dogs and Cats), the mandibular canal is ended by several mental foramina on the lateral surface of the mandible.

In Pigs, a small medial mental foramen (Foramen mentale mediale) exists, on the medial surface of the mandible.
