Definition
The middle nasal concha is formed by the rostral extension of the endoturbinate II of the ethmoidal labyrinth. It has the particularity of not being completely rolled up on itself. It most often presents a bullous arrangement, with a defined cavity; the middle conchal sinus which opens through a particular orifice in the nasal cavity or the maxillary sinus depending on the species.
