Nuclei paraventriculares thalami
Definition
The paraventricular thalamic nuclei are midline nuclei located along the wall of the third ventricle and in the interthalamic adhesion. They project to the hypothalamus, hippocampal formation, and nucleus accumbens, thus participating in affective behavior.
