The intermediate olfactory tract, located in the rhinencephalon, is the rostral portion of the rostral commissure which, upon entering the olfactory peduncle, connects the olfactory bulbs and the rostral olfactory nuclei on each side, terminating on the granule cells of the olfactory bulb.
