Body of incisive bone
Corpus ossis incisivi
Definition
The body of the incisive bone is the central and main portion of this bone, located at the rostral end of the facial skeleton, in front of the maxilla.
It bears the dental alveoli of the upper incisors and also contributes to the formation of the nasal cavity and the rostral bony palate through its articulations with the maxilla, nasal bone, and vomer.
