Definition
The lamina tectoria is the upper plate of the ethmoid bone. This papery sheet passes dorsally above the ethmoturbinates, forming the roof of the ethmoidal labyrinth.
The lamina that passes ventrally and forms the ethmoidal floor is the basal lamina.
