The molar part of the mandible corresponds to the caudal portion of the mandibular body, located behind the incisive part.
It contains the alveoli for the molar teeth, including the premolars and molars, and constitutes the main masticatory area of the mandible. This portion transmits masticatory forces to the mandibular bone and plays a major role in grinding and triturating food.
