Definition
The rectogenital pouch is a peritoneal recess located between the rectum and the genital tract (e.g., uterus or prostate) in mammals.
In female animals, it lies between the rectum and the uterus/vagina.
In male animals, it lies between the rectum and the seminal glands/deferent duct
