Tractus supraopticohypophysialis
Definition
The supraopticohypophyseal tract is a bundle of axons originating from the supraoptic nucleus of the hypothalamus, passing through the infundibulum to reach the neurohypophysis and mediate the release of vasopressin and oxytocin.
