Tympanohyoideum
Definition
The tympanohyoid is one of the components of the hyoid apparatus.
It is a small fibro-cartilaginous cylinder that unify the stylohyoideum to the styloid process of the temporal bone.
In pigs and carnivores, it is long, flat and spread against the tympanic bulla.
