Karemna Barrera

The articular muscle of the shoulder joint is a small muscle which is present in the horse, inconsistantly present in the pig and lacking in the rest of the domestic mammals. It lies on the flexor surface of the shoulder joint directly adjacent to the joint capsule. It extends between the distal scapula and the proximal humerus. The articular muscle of the shoulder joint tenses the joint capsule.
