Conchal crest

Crista conchalis

Definition

Halfway up on the nasal surface of the maxillary bone (on the wall of the nasal cavity), the conchal crest (Crista conchalis) -formerly called the 'maxillary crest'- gives attachment to the ventral concha.

It separates two excavated surfaces: the ventral and middle meatus.
