Ligamentum hepatoduodenale
Definition
The hepatoduodenal ligament is a portion of the lesser omentum that connects the liver (specifically the porta hepatis) to the cranial part of the duodenum. This ligament is of significant clinical importance because it encloses the portal triad (portal vein, hepatic artery, and bile duct).
