Sphenoidal spine
Spina ossis sphenoidalis
Definition
On the endocranial side of the wing of the sphenoid bone, laterally to the foramen lacerum, the caudal border of the sphenoid bone meets the lateral border forming a protruding angle called the sphenoidal spine (Spina ossis sphenoidalis), that leans against the temporal bone.
