Facies cerebralis

Definition

Mayla Alcobaça, Andréa Lopes da Costa

The cerebral surface is the inner surface of the wing of the basisphenoid bone. It receives this name because it faces the brain and is therefore closely related to it. It presents irregularities in the form of depressions that serve to accommodate the cerebral gyri and sulci.
