Sulcus tubae auditivae

Definition

Mayla Alcobaça, Andréa Lopes da Costa

The sulcus of auditory tube is a bony depression on the ventral surface of the wing of the basisphenoid bone leading to the auditory tube, and is therefore lateral to the roof of the pterygoid process. It connects the middle ear to the pharynx, contributing to the equalization of ear pressure.
