Jugum sphenoidale
Definition
The sphenoidal yoke (Jugum sphenoidale) is a smooth, median bony surface located on the caudal part of the body of the presphenoid bone, which overlies the chiasmatic groove and the entrance to the optic canal. It is partially divided by a bony projection, forming two lateral depressions.
