Jugum sphenoidale

Definition

The sphenoidal yoke (Jugum sphenoidale) is overcoming the chiasmatic sulcus, dorsally to which it forms a projecting border.

It shows two lateral depressions separated by a median crest: the sphenoidal crest (Crista sphenoidalis) that the beginning of the crista galli of the ethmoid bone extends rostrally.
