The left ventricular free wall refers to the portion of the left ventricular myocardium that is not shared with the interventricular septum.

It comprises the lateral, posterior, and anterior walls of the left ventricle, extending from the base to the apex, and is bounded internally by the left ventricular cavity and externally by the pericardium.
