Definition

Long head of triceps brachii:

Origin: Distolateral two-thirds of the caudal edge of the scapula, infraglenoid tubercle

Insertion: Olecranon of the ulna.

Action: Extension of the elbow joint, and especially for the long head, also flexion of shoulder joint

Nerve: Radialis.
