Greater palatine canal

The rostral part of the nasal surface of the perpendicular plate of the palatine bone is rough and unites to the maxilla; it is crossed by a strong groove that contributes to form the great palatine canal (Canalis palatinus major) with the corresponding groove of the maxilla.
