Sphenopalatine foramen

The rostral border of the perpendicular process of the palatine bone, that is oblique upwards and rearwards, connects to the maxilla and to the ethmoid bone. It forms the sphenopalatine foramen (foramen sphenopalatinum) dorsally to the caudal orifice of the great palatine canal (Canalis palatinus major).
