Definition

Andréa Lopes da Costa

The tentorial process of the parietal bone is a medial projection located on the endocranial surface of this bone. It extends on either side of the internal occipital protuberance and, together with the tentorial process of the interparietal bone, forms the base of the tentorium cerebelli osseum.

It is present in carnivores and equids.
