Definition

Juliette Garnodier

The tuberomammillary nucleus is a nucleus of the intermediate hypothalamus located in the lateral region of the tuber cinereum, comprising a caudal part (intercalated nucleus) and a supramammillary part. It is involved in wakefulness regulation, homeostasis, and communicates with other hypothalamic nuclei and the neurohypophysis for endocrine and autonomic control.
