Definition
The apex of the petrous part (Apex partis petrosae) is the end of the protrusion located mediorostrally to the internal accoustic pore.
In Men, it is long and strong;
in Equidae and Carnivorous, is still important;
in Ruminants, it is barely marked in Ruminants;
in Pigs, it is nearly absent.
