The scutuloauriculares profundi major muscle is one of the two scutuloauriculares profundi muscles (with the minor). Both turn the intertragic notch caudally, but this muscle is stronger and longer, and extends from the rostral part of the deep surface of the scutiform cartilage to the caudal surface of the eminentia conchae.
