  • Synonym: Scutuloauriculares profundi minor muscle

Definition

Marjorie Champarou

The scutuloauriculares profundi minor muscle is one of the two scutuloauriculares profundi muscles (with the major). Both turn the intertragic notch caudally, but this one crosses the dorsal surface of the major scutuloauricularis profundi muscle in a X shape and extends from the caudal part of the deep surface of the scutiform cartilage to join the base of the auricle, rostrally to the major scutuloauricularis profundi muscle.
