Musculus abductor digiti V

Definition

In Men, we describe an abductor of the fifth digit (M. abductor digiti quinti), extended from the lateral border of the foot, from the lateral tuberosity of the calcaneus to the lateral side of the proximal extremity of the proximal phalanx of this digit, placed above the  short flexor of the fifth digit (M. flexor digiti quinti brevis).

In domestic Mammals, Carnivorous, Rodents, and Pigs have a reduced abductor of the fifth digit.
