Musculus obturatorius internus
- Synonym: Internal obturator muscle
Definition
Origin: Medial to the obturator foramen internally and medial to the foramen on the pelvic surfaces of the rami of the pubis and ischium, and from the ischiatic arch.
Insertion: Trochanteric fossa.
Action: Lateral rotation of the hip joint.
Nerve: Ischiadicus.
