Gluteobiceps muscle

Musculus gluteobiceps [glutaeobiceps]

Definition

The gluteobiceps muscle is constituted in Ungulates by the very intimate union of the biceps femoral muscle and the gluteofemoral muscle, which has also annexed a great part of the superficial gluteal muscle, that is only signaled by a slightly different orientation of its fibers. It results that the gluteobiceps muscle of Ruminants is particularly broad.
