Metatarsal retinaculum of extensors
Retinaculum extensorum metatarsale
Definition
The Equidae and Ruminants have a retinaculum of metatarsal extensors affected to all the extensor tendons of the digits (lateral and short extensor included) and inserted on the proximal extremity of the metatarsus. It was called 'metatarsal bridle' in France.
