Here are presented scientific illustrations of the canine muscles and skeleton from different anatomical standard views (lateral, medial, cranial, caudal, dorsal, ventral / palmar...). Some fascias, tendons, ligaments, joints were labeled.

This module includes representations of an isolated muscle, sectioned muscle, muscle insertions, and progressive dissection images for a better understanding of the links between the different muscles.

The color mode facilitates the identification of each muscle on different views and modalities (external view, in sections and muscle insertions on the bones). The colors were chosen to correspond to the action of the muscle according to the 3 reference axes:

Dorsal view - Head / Neck - Muscles - Dorsal view

- anteroposterior (green) for abduction / adduction movements

- medio-lateral (red) for flexion / extension movements

- vertical (blue) for axial rotation movements
